Sammons Preston Economy Quick Clean Gait Belt is an assistive device used to help safely transfer a person from a bed to a wheelchair, assist with sitting and standing, and help with walking around. The belt is secured around the waist to allow a caregiver to grasp the belt to assist in lifting or moving a person. The belt also provides added support while still allowing the patient to begin gaining strength and balance with minimum risk.
Quickly Wipes Clean with Disinfectants
Features a smooth plastic strap and buckle that can be quickly and safely wiped clean with a spray disinfectant between users, keeping belts accessible and reducing cross-contamination risks. Use disinfectants including GymWipes, Sani-Wipes and CaviWipes to help prevent the spread of germs. The quick-release gait belt has a plastic buckle that snaps into place to clip the two ends together.
Reduces Risk of Injuries and Back Pain
The Economy Quick Clean Gait Belt can help lessen the risk of injuring the caregiver or creating back, leg or shoulder pain. Made from nylon webbing, the durable construction of the transfer belt is comfortable and long-lasting. For proper use standing up, position the patient’s feet in between the caregiver’s feet and use good body mechanics of a rocking and pulling motion.
